Disneyland Resort has announced a substantial increase in prices for its popular Magic Key annual pass program. The new pricing structure, effective October 9, 2024, shows increases ranging from 6% to 20% across all pass tiers. These price hikes join increases today on single and multi-day tickets and Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
Price Changes by Pass Type
The Magic Key program, which replaced the traditional annual pass system in 2021, now features the following updated prices:
- Inspire Pass: $1,749 (6% increase or $8.34 per month)
- Believe Pass: $1,374 (10% increase or $10.44 per month)
- Enchant Pass: $974 (14.7% increase or $10.42 per month)
- Imagine Pass: $599 (20% increase or $8.34 per month)
The Imagine Pass, available exclusively to Southern California residents, has seen the most significant price jump at 20%.
Magic Key passes have seen continued increases since their introduction as demand has consistently exceeded supply.
Magic Key Pass Value Proposition
Despite the price increases, Magic Key passes still offer value for frequent park visitors. Pass holders enjoy benefits such as discounts on merchandise and dining, as well as special events access. Disneyland has announced that Magic Key passholders will have preview opportunities for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ahead of its November 15th opening.
As Disneyland prepares for new attractions and its upcoming 70th anniversary celebration, these price adjustments may reflect the park’s strategy to balance crowd levels and maintain a quality experience for all guests. Potential pass buyers and current holders should carefully consider their visit frequency and budget to determine if a Magic Key pass remains the best option for their Disney Park experiences.
