The highly anticipated GEO-82 lounge inside EPCOT’s iconic Spaceship Earth is about to take a major step forward. Disney is expected to reveal the official opening date for this adults-only venue early next week, as soon as Sunday. Additionally, reservations for the exclusive 21+ lounge will likely become available later in the week.
Opening Details Coming Soon
Sources suggest construction of the upscale lounge is nearly complete. Only finishing touches remain before GEO-82 welcomes its first guests. The announcement will come as welcome news for Disney fans who have been tracking the project since its initial reveal.
Along with the opening date, Disney is expected to share the full menu details. This will showcase the innovative cocktails and globally inspired small plates promised for the venue. The complete beverage program will likely feature drinks that celebrate the themes and spirit of EPCOT.
While we don’t have exact details on an opening date yet, we’ve heard Disney is aiming to open the space prior to Memorial Day Weekend.

What We Know About GEO-82
The name GEO-82 pays tribute to two important elements of EPCOT history. “GEO” references the geodesic sphere structure of Spaceship Earth, while “82” honors the year EPCOT first opened its gates.
Located in a prime spot within Spaceship Earth, the lounge will offer spectacular views. Guests can look out over the newly completed World Celebration gardens and World Showcase Lagoon. This positioning makes it an ideal spot for watching EPCOT’s nighttime spectaculars.
The design draws inspiration from Spaceship Earth itself. Rich textures and warm metallic tones will create an elegant, intimate atmosphere. Geometric shapes and patterns throughout the space will echo the iconic structure housing it.

A History of Exclusive Access
The space now becoming GEO-82 has a fascinating history within Spaceship Earth. For many years, it served as a private VIP lounge for corporate sponsors.
When AT&T sponsored Spaceship Earth, they maintained an exclusive lounge for their executives and special guests. Later, Siemens AG took over sponsorship in 2005 and renamed the space “Base21.” Eventually, it became known simply as the “Siemens VIP Center.”
After Siemens ended their sponsorship in 2017, the space remained largely unused except for private events. Now, Disney is transforming this once-exclusive corporate retreat into a premium experience available to all park guests 21 and older.
Reservation Requirements
Like many of Disney’s premium dining experiences, GEO-82 will require advance reservations. The lounge will have limited capacity due to its unique location and intimate design.
Next week’s announcement should clarify how far in advance guests can book their visit. Most Disney dining venues open for reservations 60 days ahead of time.
Valid park admission and EPCOT reservation will be necessary in addition to the lounge reservation. Proper ID proving guests are 21 or older will be required for entry.
GEO-82 represents an exciting addition to EPCOT’s adult-focused offerings. The lounge will be the first of two new premium drinking establishments coming to Walt Disney World this year. A Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern is also slated to open in Magic Kingdom later in 2025.
Keep watching for official confirmation of these details when Disney makes their announcement next week.
