Happily Ever After Fireworks Showtime Moving to 8:00pm in November

As the days grow shorter and the sun sets earlier, Disney is adjusting the showtime for the popular Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom.

Happily Ever After Showtime for Fireworks Spectacular

Beginning November 10, 2024, the nightly performance will move from 8:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This annual showtime shift historically coincides with the end of Daylight Saving Time. On November 3, 2024, we will “fall back” and set our clocks one hour earlier, resulting in earlier sunsets. This allows Disney to start the fireworks earlier, which is especially helpful for families with younger children.

During the summer, Happily Ever After is performed at 8:30pm, 8:45pm, or 9:00pm depending on when the sun sets. After the time change, Magic Kingdom will stick to an 8:00pm Happily Ever After showtime. However, times will differ for special event fireworks, such as Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. New Year’s Eve fireworks on December 30 and 31 will, naturally, also have different times.

Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular

Happily Ever After combines breathtaking pyrotechnics, immersive projections, and stirring music to create an unforgettable experience for guests. The show features beloved characters and iconic moments from classic and modern Disney stories. Cinderella Castle serves as the backdrop, with state-of-the-art projections transforming it throughout the performance.

Plan Ahead for Optimal Viewing

To secure a prime viewing spot for Happily Ever After, guests should arrive early and stake out a location in the Hub or along Main Street, U.S.A. With the earlier showtime, it’s essential to plan meals and other activities accordingly to ensure you don’t miss this magical nighttime spectacular.

The earlier showtime does allow guests more time afterwards to experience rides and attractions throughout the park. The post-fireworks hours tend to have smaller crowds and shorter waits, rewarding the night owls.
