What’s this?! A new Scary Teddy popcorn bucket will be coming soon to both Disney World and Disneyland for the Halloween season.
The new bucket will be available first at Magic Kingdom, exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, starting September 2. Disney has not yet announced where the bucket will be sold during the event, although historically they have been available at most popcorn stands within the park.
In addition to Disney World, the bucket will also be available at Disneyland, potentially during Oogie Boogie Bash event nights. A specific release date for the west coast was not shared. A Zero popcorn bucket, also from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, was available at past Halloween events.

The ‘Scary Teddy’ is a memorable character from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. This toy, which is a twisted parody of a traditional teddy bear, reflects the film’s darkly whimsical tone. Instead of being a cuddly companion, Scary Teddy has sharp fangs, a skeletal body, and a menacing grin, making it more fitting for Halloween than Christmas. In the movie, Scary Teddy is one of the gifts delivered by Jack Skellington’s misguided version of Santa Claus, adding an eerie twist to the holiday cheer. The toy embodies the film’s theme of blending the macabre with the festive, creating a unique and unforgettable character.
